This is a translation. The Romanian version is the original and prevails in case of any discrepancy.

The PetNanny app is not live yet. This page explains only what happens to the data you give us through the form on the pre-launch page. At launch, the app will have its own policy, which you will accept separately.

1. Who we are

The data controller is WEB DIGITAL VENTURE S.R.L., with its registered office in Bucharest, Sector 3, Str. Baba Novac nr. 18, bl. 24B, sc. A, et. 1, ap. 6, company number 46880060, trade register J40/18742/2022. You can write to us any time at office@petnanny.ro.

2. What data we collect

• Your name and email address — so we can notify you at launch. Required.
• The type of animal — dog, cat or other, so we understand what kind of sitters are needed.
• The city — so we know where the demand is and where to launch first. Optional for owners, required for sitters.
• The phone number — only if you sign up as a sitter, so we can call you for verification.
• The source of your visit — campaign parameters from the link (utm) and the referral code of whoever sent it to you.
• Your consent — the exact text you ticked and the moment you ticked it, as proof that you allowed us to contact you.
• A fingerprint of the connection — a code computed from the IP address, not the address itself, so we can limit automated mass sign-ups.

3. Why we use it, and on what basis

We use the data to notify you when we launch, to decide which cities we launch in first and, if you signed up as a sitter, to contact you for verification and onboarding. For sitters, the sign-up date also determines who is among the “First 100”. The legal basis is your consent, given through the tick box in the form (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

We use the connection fingerprint on the legitimate interest of protecting the list from automated sign-ups (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We send no other kind of communication and do not use the data for automated profiling.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell the data and give it to nobody for marketing purposes. We store and process it through technical providers who act only on our behalf:

• Supabase — the database holding the list, hosted in Ireland (EU).
• Vercel — the hosting of this page.
• Brevo — sending the emails, from France (EU), once we start sending.

Some of these providers are based, or have sub-processors, outside the European Economic Area. In those cases the transfer relies on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. This page loads no fonts, scripts or images from other providers.

5. How long we keep it

We keep the waiting-list data until launch and for at most 24 months from sign-up; after that it is deleted automatically. If you press the unsubscribe link in any email from us, your sign-up and your data are deleted immediately. If you ask us to delete it by email, we do so within 30 days.

6. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it. The fastest way off the list is the unsubscribe link in every email from us; for any other right, write to office@petnanny.ro and we will answer within one month.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP), dataprotection.ro.

7. Cookies

The page loads in full without a single cookie from another provider: the font, the images and the code all come from our own domain. On your first visit we ask for your consent, by category. Nothing starts before you agree: the tools are not loaded “switched off”, they are not loaded at all.

• Necessary — they make the page work: submitting the form and remembering your cookie choice. The choice is saved in your browser, not with us. They cannot be switched off, but they do not track you.
• Statistics — they show us how many people open the page, from what kind of device and from which campaign. Tool: Google Analytics.
• Marketing — they measure our advertising and may lead to PetNanny ads on other websites. Tools: Meta (Facebook, Instagram), TikTok, Google Ads.

The legal basis for statistics and marketing is your consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it any time, from the Cookies link at the bottom of every page; withdrawal does not affect what happened before it. If you refuse, the page works exactly the same.

The statistics and marketing tools belong to companies in the United States (Google, Meta, TikTok) and involve a transfer of data there, based on the standard contractual clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. They may use their own cookies and may process the IP address and device identifiers.

As of the date above, none of these tools is installed. The text is written in advance, so that it exists before the first campaign rather than after it.
